Healthcare and homecare workers across the nation are joining the growing Fight for $15 movement! If we fight together, we can put an end to poverty pay for Massachusetts healthcare and homecare workers in 2015.
Whether you make less or more than $15/hour, we need to unite and raise standards for workers in our industry so that all healthcare workers can win more! At the bargaining table, at the state house, and in the streets, 2015 will be a year of important battles for 1199ers in the Bay State. We’ll be fighting for fair contracts and $15/hour for all healthcare workers. Together, we’ll speak out for legislative reforms and a state budget that will protect and invest in quality care.
Here in Southeastern Mass., 1199SEIU members are engaged in campaigns for new contracts at Tobey Hospital, Cape Cod Healthcare System, several Golden Living and Essex nursing homes, and for thousands of area Personal Care Attendants.
