The Right to Remain Coalition, anchored by Right to the City Boston and Boston Tenant Coalition, will bring together renters, homeowners, low wage workers, people of color, immigrants, and many others affected by the displacement crisis resulting from Boston’s status as the most rapidly gentrifying city in the country.
The Right to Remain Assembly will weave together a variety of housing, zoning, jobs, land, and transit policies that our communities are actively fighting for and will particularly focus on the struggle for a Just Cause Eviction law to protect Boston residents.
The Right to Remain Assembly will culminate in a massive citywide action co-sponsored by Right to the City Boston, Boston Tenant Coalition, Alternatives for Community & Environment, Boston Workers Alliance, Chinatown Resident Association, Chinese Progressive Association, City Life/Vida Urbana, Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation, Community Labor United, Dominican Development Center, Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corp., Dorchester People for Peace, Fairmount Indigo Line CDC Collaborative, Greater Boston Legal Service, Greater Bowdoin/Geneva Neighborhood Association, Greater Four Corners Action Coalition, Jamaica Plain Progressives, Neighbors United for a Better East Boston, New England United for Justice, Progressive Communicators Network, SEIU 32BJ.
